Like most states, Ohio does not endorse any specific designation in cyber liability or other risk management related professional certification. Individuals are free to earn multiple certifications to advance their career and improve their income though additional training programs.
Everyone knows that cyber security and the associated liability that comes with it is one of the fastest areas of risk management in business today. The Registered Cyber Liability Specialist certification will benefit many different professionals that have a stake in protecting their clients, and employers from cyber threats. Risk managers, insurance producers, information technology specialists and human resources can all benefit from this best-in-class cyber insurance designation.
Ohio Insurance CE Requirements
Ohio requires continuing education (CE) for insurance producers to maintain their licenses in good standing. The general requirement of 24 hours for each reporting period can be satisfied by completing any approved course of instruction. Continuing education can be completed online or in a classroom setting by an approved provider.
The National Registry of Cyber Liability Specialists has partnered with WebCE, a leading internet testing company and approved insurance CE provider in the state of Ohio, to administer our exams. The Cybersecurity: Protecting Your Clients and Your Practice, online training program used for the Registered Cyber Liability Specialist (RCLS) professional certification, is approved in the state for two-hours of continuing education towards the total 24 hour requirement.
